About Our Founder
Philip L. Rothbart, M.D. is a member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians and has more than three decades of experience in the medical field. He is the past Associate Medical Director of the Squibb Institute for Medical Research and was the Founding Member of the Board of Directors of Physician’s Health Services of Delaware (now Coventry Health Care).
Prior to opening the Medical Weight Management Center of Delaware, Dr. Rothbart, who holds dual medical and law degrees, headed a Wilmington-based private medical practice for over 30 years and practiced law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the District of Columbia.
Dr. Rothbart is currently a Fellow with the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Legal Medicine, and he holds additional memberships in
- The American Medical Association,
- The American Society of Law and Medicine,
- The Medical Society of Delaware,
- The New Castle County Medical Society, and
Dr. Rothbart is licensed to practice medicine in Delaware and Pennsylvania.
